Stonehenge Autumn Equinox
Have you heard of the Stonehenge Autumn Equinox? You haven’t?! Well let me tell you, it’s incredible, magical, and awesome.
Every year as the sun rises above the horizon, its rays align perfecting between the stones at Stonehenge. This occurs during the Equinox’s and Solstices at Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.
During that time anyone can go for free and the best part, you get to go right up to the stones and touch them. If that wasn’t enough, many dress like druids and medieval men and women. There were even real druids.
How we got to be a part of this is a pretty funny story. We were in Bath England when we found out someone from Mindvalley University was in the area (if you’ve read my blog at all you’ll know I mention Mindvalley quite frequently.) We got together with him and as we talked he told us he was going to the Autumn Equinox at Stonehenge this fall.
A few days later we checked into our medieval styled hotel which had been around for over 700 years, only an hour drive from Stonehenge. In the morning we got all dressed up and headed to one of the most famous stone circles in the world.
It was so incredible being surrounded by these ancient stones seeing the sun rise above the horizon. You could hear the drummers and flute players as they played a Celtic tune that just got you into the vibe. It was so amazing!
So if you ever happen to be in the area at the right time, stop by Stonehenge to witness this magical phenomenon.
